Working through the weekend with Logicalis
Logicalis UK is an IT solutions and managed services provider
based in Cardiff, South Wales.
The
challenge
As part of a significant office restructure to create a new
project management area, Logicalis needed a electrical project
management team they could really trust to work alongside
their appointed office interiors consultant, SpaceWise.
SpaceWise and PME projects have a strong record of collaborating
to deliver similar office-based electrical contracts and projects,
so we were delighted to be recommended to work with Logicalis.
To eliminate any disruption to productivity in an extremely busy
office, we were tasked with undertaking the work during the weekend
- something we are accustomed to doing, so were more than happy to
oblige.
What did we
do?
During the weekend of 6th and 7th October our team of accredited
Warrington electrical
contractors worked seamlessly with SpaceWise, completing the
work on time, to the agreed budget and enabling Logicalis' project
management team to switch on in the comfort of their new
surroundings on Monday 8th October.
In the midst of internal walls and doors, desks and office
furniture being moved, our team:
- Relocated existing floor boxes, and installed 13 new floor
boxes, to suit new desk configuration
- Relocated existing lighting, power & data points to allow
partition removal/reworking
- Reworked & relocated 3 lighting circuits to suit the new
office & comms room layout
- Reworked fire alarm to suit new layout - Installed 42 new data
cables and 24 double power points into the new floor boxes &
wall positions
- Reworked power provision to lab area, to suit new bench
configuration
